The workers are dedicated and it is delight to watch them work. It seems that they are picking tea leaves in synchronization and the process is nothing short of a full-fledged tea picking factory. The accommodation in a tea garden is a one of its kind experience. Most of these tea estates were built in the early 1900s and ever since they have been carrying out an unmatched legacy.

Assam Tea Festival

The Assam Tea Festival is held each year in the month of November. It is organized by Assam Tourism and gives travelers a glimpse of tea production in the state. You get to visit various tea estates and enjoy an exciting river cruise on the mighty Brahmaputra River. Tourists can also visit Guwahati Tea Auction Center, the largest in the country.
